Ok...yesterday my brother and I took a train to Glasgow from Edinburgh. The Scottish countryside is unbelievable, the sheep are so cute! Did I mention all the shades of green in the fields and the forrests?
Glasgow was not quite what we expected. The city was built on the River Clyde so ship building and merchantism were staples of the young city which is the largest in Scotland. Now, the Clyde is more for tourism and Glasgow must reinvent itself once again. Their slogan is "Scotland in style".....the city itself was dirty compared to Edinburgh and certainly lacked the Scottish charm to which I have become accustomed. The people were still very friendly and the Irish pub we ate at served great fish and chips.
I am a little short on time now so I will post again soon and catch you all up on my trip to find "Nessie"..that's right...Loch Ness.
Cheers!
